7L Traditional Honey Cake

7L had another practical day on Monday, as we love learning in creative ways! In Science we explored how energy/heat can change the state of water. We considered the vocabulary from our word wall to describe how ice can change from solid to liquid through the process of melting, we explored how with even more heat we can turn a liquid into a gas (steam).  In the afternoon we learnt all about the Jewish celebration of Rosh Hashanah, understanding this to be the Jewish New Year to forgive and forget and think about the year ahead. We made a traditional honey cake as the Jewish community believe Honey cake connects them to the Torah and is a symbol of the sweetness of life.
